International Conference on the Arts in Society, “The Good the Bad and the 3eib: Critical Dialogs in the Gulf” Co-Presented with Simone Muscolino.
Associate Professor Simone Muscolino and I represented the Art Foundation program in a colloquium with the VCU Richmond AFO representatives at the “Arts in Society” conference in Paris, June 2016.
The panel which included 4 presentations by faculty from VCU Richmond, covered wide ranging, cross-curricular courses and collaborative projects designed to augment and support the arts student educational experience both in and outside of the classroom and across cultures.
The panel was initiated by the VCU Richmond Director of Art Foundation, Elissa Armstrong in part as a way to continue the dialog and strengthen the connections between our two programs. It was also a way to disseminate the diversity of projects and philosophies that exist in the programs in Richmond and Doha to a wider audience.
