I was invited to participate in the Behance reviews in Doha, and as part of the event they asked if I could present my views on the local creative community and what it means to design here when I am from somewhere else. I love these images from Instagram where I am the only white male on the panel. This is common for me these days, and it was a great moment. After the presentations by some really smart young women, I was humbled to be among them. What a privileged position to be in dialog with them and with a young creative movement in Doha. The Behance reviews are in many ways a services to the profession, but this kind of contextual reflection and networking was surprisingly relevant for my current research. In some ways the opportunity to get to know these young women and to dialog with them was more important personally than the UNESCO presentation.
