Working from the handmade collage to the digital collage, then eventually into a pattern/template based layout for a totebag required several technical steps, alongside the conceptual steps needed for compelling communicaiton. Students struggled but found motivation and excitement knowing that their collages would be printed and sewn into functional bags.
