Vector Taxonomy

Students were asked to bring in 10 vector translations of objects. In order to ensure that nobody brought in the same objects we set up a blog to register their objects. The students then began a taxonomic evaluation of each object and grouped them into categories based on a variety of characteristics, with an eye towards connotative meaning and juxtaposition. The project encouraged debate and active communication. Students learned how to frame meaning while honing their skills lobbying for their particular perspective.
